General Awareness Training for BBP
OSHA requires employers to protect its workers who are occupationally exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials under the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen’s program. Workers in many occupations, including first responders, housekeeping personnel, nurses and other healthcare personnel, all may be at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
The content of this course will allow you a better understanding of the following:
•What are bloodborne pathogens?
•What are the key provisions of the OSHA bloodborne pathogens standard?
•What are universal precautions and workplace controls?
•What is required following an exposure?
